While I'm sitting here listening to Irene pound away outside I've starting to think about how I would like my autumn porch to look this year. Do I want a simple autumnal harvest theme or a spooky Halloween theme. Do I want to decorate for autumn and change to Halloween or just add spooky
elements. I know, you must be thinking, doesn't she have better things to do, actually I do but I really love decorating for this upcoming season. So while searching for inspiration I've come up with
some really lovely ideas.
So I found some great inspiration.....here are some lovely harvest themed porches. All of the natural elements used in these designs give these porches such a warm and cozy feel.

Topiaries for the front porch
These porches are so much fun....I love the ravens.

Simple and elegant,

Some fun jack-o-lanterns

Hope you enjoyed my Halloween front porch tour.
And to all of my east coast friends, please stay safe and dry!

You have so many great inspiration photos. Love the ones with the urns and pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteMarianne, I'm glad you still have power. Prayers are going up for you and all in the storm. My son and his family live near Atlantic City. Stay safe.
Love the harvest themes.
ReplyDeleteI think that your porch looked sensational last year! Very, very nice. But I know how much fun it is to do something new...you have posted some great ideas. One thing I have learned is that you can't have to many pumpkins.(-: Thanks for the inspiration, I am looking forward to fall too.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE fall its my favorite time of the year. I decorate and go all out every year...of course as the years pass a little more since I buy more each year!! I decorate for fall and then around the first week of october I add halloween to it...and after I take away the halloween and leave my fall decor for thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI went through Pinterest last week and all of the photos you have are in my inspiration folder! LOL
We finally got internet back up after Irene hit us. It was pretty scary..there are uprooted trees all around us. Thankfully we are all safe and there wasn't too much damage. The base was on lockdown and should open tomorrow.
Keep safe!
Well, Marianne, I'm joining you in listening to that wicked ol' Irene POUND my house and make my old shutters bang!
ReplyDeleteSTAY SAFE and dry!
Love the inspiring doors and porches -- if my porch ever dries out, I'll decorate for Fall. Right now I'm happy if I don't end up with a tree lying across it!

Your porch looked beautiful last year, and I am sure what ever you do this year will be too. Love the inspirations you posted, and can't wait to start decorating. I have used pumpkin topiaries in the past, but think I will change up this year. Fall is my favorite season!
ReplyDeleteI can relate ... do you go Fall, Halloween, both? Decisions, decisions! Love your porch from last year, along with the beautiful inspirational pics. I look forward to seeing what you do this year!
ReplyDeleteFantastic post!
ReplyDeleteSo many great inspirational ideas.
I am still hamging on to my hot pink flowers here and trying to squeeze in a little more summer. But now I will start planning what to do with my front entry!
