Outer Banks, NC

This year we decided to take a family vacation....
when I say family I mean my husbands entire immediate family, all 19 of us.
What better place to go than to the Outer Banks.
 None of us have ever been there before and all have heard
wonderful things about it.
We rented a lovely 8 bedroom home one block in from the beach.  

This is the house that we rented in Whaleshead, Corolla.  Such a beautiful place to vacation....I can't wait to go back!  

These houses are pretty amazing, three floors with the kitchen on the top floor...that means you will be climbing three flights of stairs all day long.  Needless to say, 

I got all of the exercise I needed for the week. 

This chair is from the Nags Head Hammock shop.  They have beautiful outdoor furniture.

My boys couldn't get enough of the beach, they never wanted to leave.  And you can see my two bathing beauty nieces in the background.

Matthew enjoyed digging holes in the sand that he could fit in.

The temperature was hot and humid so we spent a lot of time in the 

ocean, which was so refreshing.

Here's Nicholas, my little engineer, creating another one of his towns. 

We did a little sight seeing......

.....and went bike riding......

and watched the hazy sunsets.

We celebrated mom and dads 60th wedding anniversary.  

These are all of the grandchildren.

Overall, I would have to say that it was a great week!
