Browsing My Garden

Most of my spring flowers are all pooped out but that's okay....summer is here and with it comes another layer of beautiful blooms!

My two most favorite  flowers are the Echinacea Purple Coneflower and the White Shasta Daisy.  The Purple Coneflowers have just started to bloom.  In another week they will be just gorgeous. Both are very hardy and work well in my neck of the woods.  We have heavy clay soil and an over population of deer.  The deer seem to stay away from these, which I am very grateful for.

Another favorite of mine is fragrant Monarda Bee Balm. This is known for its fragrance and it is also
deer resistant which is the reason why I started to plant it and now I just love it!

And a popular find in my garden this time of year is the Daylily. These are my dependable perennials.
I can always count on beautiful yellow flowers year after year.

Thanks so much for browsing my early summer garden.  I hope you enjoyed it!

  1. Oh, your bee balm and cone flowers are fab. Mine haven't done well this year. We have had to much rain and record heat. Wonder if that could be the problem?
    Thanks for following,

  4. Hi Marianne,
Thanks for visiting our blog. Your flowers are so beautiful. I planted purple coneflower and shasta daisies last year, but they didn't come back this year. I have been meaning to try to bee balm. Yours looks so lovely and colorful. The deer ate the sunflowers I planted last year, but luckily, they have not bothered anything else.
