Even though I'm thinking autumn, orange, cooler weather and back to school I thought I would re-post this to Chari's Happy To Design Sunday Favorites Party in honor of Labor Day.
Happy Memorial Day everyone....thought I would start the party early by setting my table in red, white and blue. What better way to celebrate this honorable holiday.
I was shopping in Kohl's and found this great American flag tablecloth and thought that this would be a great inspiration for a patriotic tablescape. While I was there I found these matching American flag napkin rings.
The red dinner plates are from Marshalls.
The white chargers are from Pier 1 Imports, blue transfer ware plates are Johnson Brothers Asiatic Pheasant from my collection. Clear blue dinner and desert plates came from a thrift shop.
The white lantern is another Pier 1 Import bargain that I got for 7.99. Large red pitcher was a great garage sale find that I got for 3.00...the original Marshall's sticker was on the bottom $19.99. What a deal!!
Flatware is Lenox Eternal and actually matches my formal china but why not use it outside. I think it looks great!
And Mr. Roo came for a visit but decided that he didn't quite fit in with the rest of the guests this time around....he'll be back.
So, does anyone what to come over for a nice relaxing lunch?
